The Links page β now just for music! Here I share albums and songs I like, sometimes even with my thoughts on e.g. what parts, melodies or instruments are interesting; or what situations, feelings and eras of my life I associate with them.
Some far day away, I'd also like to somehow upload all the tags I've given my local music library and give you ways to filter everything according to the mood of what you want to listen to. But for that I'll have to make it work in my own system first...
Some Notes
-
If you see the image on the right while hovering over an album with a hovercard, it means there is a dedicated subpage for it!
- In case you also have JavaScript enabled, there should be a button below to toggle whether or not to only show the albums with their own subpage.
-
Most of the albums here are video game soundtracks
(as I grew up playing video games) , and as such...- ...most tracks don't feature any singing
- ...some of the tracks are best experienced by hearing it in-game for the first time.

Against the Storm
One time while playing the game, I had a headache from the combined forces of this soundtrack playing non-stop and the game being full of choices and interconnected systems that forced my head to spend 100% of it's available usage capacity to be able to barely keep track off it all. I then turned off the music for the rest of the play session, and while it was completely silent while the game was paused, just the ambience of the rain, the quite satisfying sounds of the UI and the ambience coming from every building and townsperson while the game was unpaused was nice and felt like it alleviated a bit of the headache. In retrospect, I believe that I also had the music turned up just a smidgen too loudly.
Other than that event, each track in the soundtrack generally blends together for me because of their similar instrumentation, and even after listening to the track on it's own
(so that it actually had space in my head to fill and be thought about) , I didn't really get an earworm of anything(one primary reason why I relisten to albums) and don't really have desire to listen to the soundtrack β I just don't seem to like it too much(perhaps because it lacks any catchy melodies..? I seem to like those) . -
Animal Crossing
-
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
(Fan-Made) A fanmade concept album of hourly music for Animal Crossing New Horizons back when it wasn't out at that time. This has a lot more of a calmer, melancholic, echoey, quiter tone to it than the official soundtrack.
Liked Tracks
- 12AM β Probably because of the guitar.
- 2AM β I have a pleasant memory where I once sung the melody of this song and sent it as a voice message to someone, with them having responded that they found it calming.
- 5AM
-
ANIMAL WELL
I associate the whole tone of most tracks to feeling odd, lost, apathetic and disassociated with oneself.

Cave Story
A handful of tracks that I like but are kind of dragged down by parts in them that I dont like (Running Hell β I really kike the hectic mood created from the beginning, but dislike the second half)
The wiki page is really in-depth and covers this soundtrack better than I ever could β check it out!
-
Celeste
The "YouTube OST+" playlist includes every album and sorts them according to when they appear in-game. Neat!
-
The massive soundtrack of a massive Celeste mod called the "Strawberry Jam Collab", comprising a variety of styles in both levels and music.
-
City Slicker
I discovered this when someone played this with the now unavailable radio item on the Roblox game "Midnight Horrors", around the same time I made this website. Because of this, it has this strangely indescribeable emotion fused into it, created by the unpolished stylesheet and graphics I made for the website. I like every track equally.
Also has neat music videos that help to underline the mood the music is going for.
-
Darkwood
I didnt play this, but instead watched Limalicious' playthrough of it on Twitch. While most tracks were just immemorable ambience (probably, I cant remember), the tracks "End of the Night" and "New Dawn" that play at the end of each night stuck to me. I don't listen to those tracks alot, but they're still nice and fit the game well.
-
Disco Elysium
I don't know how I caught wind of this soundtrack, but I never played or really know what the game's about. There are only two tracks I care about:
- Whirling-In-Rags is mainly associated with my prom night, which was quite an emotional time since I liked my class a good lot and it was sad thinking about never seeing them again. This emotion is also captured in the tracks "Millennium Anthem (2000 New Years Eve)" and "Eulogy" from Hypnospace Outlaw's OST while sobbingly building a train station in Minecraft.
- Miss Oranje Disco Dancer mainly because of it's beginning with it's drums. There's just something about them that make them memorable to me.
Most other tracks seem to be what I would call "depressing, but sometimes slightly hopeful ambient music" and haven't interested me.
-
Dredge
Most of the game's soundtrack was just ambience I never found memorable as I focused on the game. There are however some tracks that stood out to me.
The tracks I like mostly stem from the first area of the game
(The Marrows) as well as the ending(especially that bad ending track before the credits) . The tracks I hate are the different themes for the Travelling Merchant, as it just drills into you after visiting her for the 100th time with that loud accordion playing the mostly same melody. Most of the tracks present here are short pieces that set the tone of an area.
One interesting thing is that this album includes ambience tracks of the various sea environments you travel through in-game. They're quite a neat addition that have made their way into my Ambience Collection!
Liked Tracks:
- Main Theme
- The Marrows Moodsetters
(The Periphery, The Sunken Memory, The Glass Journey, The Morning's Plans, The Doldrums) - Her Theme (Drowned)
- Her Theme (Lucid)

Environmental Station Alpha
My thoughts on the game, as written in the Links section β 2026-02-22A little Metroidvania about exploring a little space station meant to preserve fauna and animal life. That story is set-dressing to get you some gameplay β exploring, upgrading, and β if you're willing β finding some secrets. I liked the base gameplay, and found some of the more cryptic secrets a bit tedious to figure out, but also found it worth it considering how unsettling and therefore memorable one of the last secret areas was. It's like the thing I remember most vividly when I think about this game.
Some of the songs on the soundtrack here are also quite depressing, like "Out There", "Sigil Summoning" or "The Green Room", cementing the whole game for me with an depressing, melancholic and odd undertone when combined with the endings and, like, the unsettling secret area I mentioned above.
...at least there are some nice tracks to balance it out like "Valiant", "Onwards", "Sinking Feeling" or "Hesitantly Descending" .- 02. Valiant
(Cave Sector) - 04. Onwards
( The Depths ) - 04. Sinking Feeling
( Sand Sector ) - 07. Spinning Dandelion
( Jungle Sector ) - 08. Hesitantly Descending

Fishdom 2
A bit of an odd-ball. Basically a game from my childhood my mom accidentally bought instead of another match-3 game
(Around the World in 80 Days) .One fun fact about this is that since the game is quite old, most files that were on the disc came unencrypted so I could just simply copy and paste the music files of the game into my music library and have perfectly loopable music. I also made the cover image using the Fishdom 2 title graphic from the game files and a random screenshot I found online.
Liked Tracks:
- Underwater Paradise β Chill
- Kingdom of Poseidon β Reminds me of an overworld season track from Stardew Valley.

K.K. Slider Collection
A collection of songs sung and created by K.K. Slider from the Animal Crossing games. Most tracks try to encorporate a specific musical genre, feature fun cover art and are generally nice, short and lighthearted to listen to.
There are too many liked tracks to list them here, but some favorites I remember using in the houses of my various Animal Crossing saves are K.K. Love Song, My Place, K.K. Synth and K.K. Technopop.

Lobotomy Corporation
An interesting soundtrack: Most of the soundtrack consists of songs already made by other artists, with only around 15 original songs for the game itself. Since I didn't get really far into the game
(yet?) , I only scraped the surface of the soundtrack, but still found some that I like.Note that I found no good/definitive playlist for the soundtrack. I've linked to the official one uploaded on Project Moon's YouTube channel, but that's missing the Story and trailer tracks as well as containing some promotional material
(PV probably stands for Promotional videos) . The other playlists are either unsorted, incomplete and/or contain visual spoilers(lines of dialogue, characters, situations (in some cases even story reveals), environments) , so search at your own digression.Liked Tracks:
- Story 1 β Title Screen Music
- Neutral 1-4 β The latter versions wouldn't kick as hard if the previous wouldn't exist. Especially the added beat in tracks 3 and 4 is always pleasant to hear it kick in.
- Never Frozen Bottom Flows by Tilardis β Abnormality Selection screen. Really effective at capturing hopelessness.
-
Madorica Real Estate 1 & 2
The soundtrack for the first two Madorica Real Estate games β games so unknown that not a single person has ever uploaded the soundtrack to YouTube. The only really official release of the soundtrack I found are cassettes from the official japanese website, purchaseable in yen.
Since there isn't anyone who uploaded any track at all, I just recorded the tracks I liked myself, which mostly are the tracks that play inside the properties.
-
Petscop
The soundtrack of a fictional video game called Petscop, made to tell a story in the span of 24 videos on a YouTube channel with the same name. The first part of the soundtrack is more cheerful and upbeat while the other part is dark and ambient β I mainly like the first part.
Liked Tracks:
- level1
- level2
- credits
- explore-min & explore carry a melancholic atmosphere that creates the image in my mind of a video game area/chapter after something horrible/depressing happened.
-
Please Don't Touch Anything
Everything feels drenched in slight melancholy, maybe due to it's mostly synthesized
(?) soundfont(?) . Most tracks are short and play after getting one of the endings, but there are a few longer ones that I return to when I remember them and am in the right mood(melancholic) .Liked Tracks
- title screen
- main theme
- Awaiting input
- ultraviolet secret

Splatoon 3
The most listened-to tracks here stem from the Story World Overworld β that music is etched into me with the time I first entered university and how foreign, big, lonely and scary it felt. I also have loopable versions of every layer of those tracks, as the mood shifts quite a lot with the later layers getting added.
Liked Tracks
- Two Shadows in the Sun
- Hyper Diver β Associated with the foreign, modern, large and towering buildings of the university I went to
(Especially the earlier layers) . It feels lonely, cold and is associated with me often feeling conflicted and pondering alone on benches spread across large swathes of asphalt and environment between each building. This feeling extends itself to Two Shadows in the Sun, although not quite to the level it's present in here. - Bait & Click (Mutation)
-
TUNIC
A game I played between the 10th and 16th, October, 2025, after two failed attempts at playing through them
Tracks I recommend
- Redwood Collonade β I tend to listen to this one when feeling down. I love the part with the frantic piano.
- Sigil Seeker & Arcane Arcade
-
Will You Snail
I feel like this soundtrack suffers from overuse of a leitmotif, making it rather repetitive regardless of what track you're listening to. Regardless, I still listen to some tracks from time to time when I'm in the mood for them.
Liked Tracks:
- Death by Nanobots β Melancholic, but still pushing forward. Probably the track I listen to the most.
- Disco of Doom
- Hello AI β I like the melody of the verses and refrain, but find that the refrain plays too often and quickly becomes stale.
-
A retro-styled soundtrack for a retro-themed horror game.
Liked Tracks
- Seaside Mystery - I love the quaint beginning with it's echoey melody and the subtle sea waves crashing that you can hear in the background.

This is a collection of ambience I came across, which mostly stems from either video games or real life recordings. Ambience is something I rarely listen to, but it's the perfect thing for when I desperately want to listen to music but can't find anything that I want to β either because it's too distracting to think well or because it all doesn't hit the subtle nuances of my current mood.

This is just a collection of those YouTube video game music compilation videos that I like!
From what I've heard so far, I can recommend Vapidbobcat and stellarsheik, since I like their playlists and they seem to make me consistantly feel... good? relaxed? (Although I've only listened to like 2-3 playlists for each, so it's not really a good sample size to judge with) .
-
A collection of one-off tracks that either don't belong to an album (like remixes, mash-ups) or that I discovered seperate from an album (by hearing it as background music from a YouTube video or in a video game, for example) whose other tracks I couldn't be bothered to listen to. This is the second volume I made because the first volume became quite large.
It might seem weird that this has an own dedicated page while the first volume doesn't, but that's because there's less tracks and they're more fresh on my mind so it's easier to write about them. Plus the metadata of the tracks in the first volume is quite horrendous and I don't want to go through the effort of fixing up the metadata of around 50 tracks, so I just shove my problem into a closet and instead start with a fresh slate.

Since Roblox gives a lot of tools to create games, some have gone the extra mile to polish their games up to an extreme, adding custom graphics, stories and music. This is a collection of soundtracks I like that were specifically made for games on Roblox.
Contains following game soundtracks:
- Abyss World
- DOORS
- Item Asylum
- nico's nextbots

SiIvaGunner is a parody YouTube channel that mostly uploads mash-ups of video game music and advertises them as the real deal (i.e. as if they were unmodified) . It (alongside the channels it is and was parodying) have had a long history, but as of today, SiIvaGunner grew to be a group of people that each produce their own rips and collectively upload them to this singular channel. This collection consists of the mashups that grew on me mostly because of how good they sound.

Just a list of all the albums that haven't turned into a fancy album in the album grid above yet. I managed to create a habit where each day, I convert one of the albums in the list below into an album item up above, meaning that with each update I push out, more and more albums will slowly but surely transfer over.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Not my favorite Animal Crossing soundtrack hourly music-wise. I dont like the style of it too much compared to the other games, with only a few tracks standing out (like 5AM is really neat!) . ("Normal" soundtrack) Pikmin 4 It seems that because of the recent release date and the complex layering present in this soundtrack, there really is no one definitive source for listening to the entire soundtrack yet. Rain World (The Hidden Songs // Downpour DLC // Downpour Hidden Songs // Layered Base Game Threat Themes) This one is a bit of a mess. Officially, three albums are released to catalogue the base game soundtrack. However, not every track that was in the games files was in those three releases, which is why someone uploaded every music file he could find in the game files in a playlist called "The Hidden Songs", which I've included here instead of the three albums. An additional fourth album was released for the Downpour DLC, with there also being unpublished songs that were promptly uploaded with "Downpour Hidden Songs". I additionally found layered versions of the Threat themes I'm quite fond of and also linked. There is a layered threat theme for the Downpour region Metropolis (Artificer spoiler) on the same YouTube channel(RawryProbably) . I additionally extracted the audio files and made my own version of the layered threat themes for Downpour since it's taken a while for just the one version to come out. I haven't uploaded those self-made tracks(yet) .Loved Tracks:
- Shoreline Threat (Layered) - I cannot overstate how much I like the first part, especially the Bass timestamp. Its so simplistic yet also never fails at just sounding so good to me, even over the span of a few years. While I dont like the version included on the official soundtrack that much because of the main melody, everything in this up until the Arps just sounds so good to me. The base of just the Kick and Bass layers is genuinely one of the few things that has stayed as good as when I first heard it.
- Generally most other layered threat music
- Return of the Obra Dinn
- Revita
-
Rhythm Doctor (S+ Rank Playthrough) I've included an S+ Rank Playthrough since each track sounds quite different depending on whether or not the in-game audio cues are removed. - Rhythm Heaven Collection

Super Mario Bros. Wonder A game I got for christmas and that I slurped up right then and there. Aside from it's incredibly colorful, clean, pleasant and stunning visuals, there are also quite a few tracks that I quite like.
Since there isn't an official soundtrack release
(as is the case with most games from Nintendo) , other peeps on the web came to the rescue and uploaded it on YouTube.Shining Falls (World 3 - Level Theme) Fluff Puff Peaks (World 2 - Overworld + Level Themes)
One time the main melody of the level theme sounded so pretty that it made me tear up a bit.
- Blossom Isles Overworld
- Dark Forest
- Underground
- Desert Overworld
- World Introduction
I loved this track the first times I heard it. Then I got an ear worm and got used to it. That same earworm also made me mash-up this song with "Waka Waka" from Shakira in my head, as the part the flute plays from "0:35-0:37" sounds eerily similar to the build-up to "this time for Africa". I can't unhear it and it kind of sucks.
I like how the change from active to more subdued backing sounds at the refrain put a bigger focus on the main melody/hook/refrain.
Such a weird underground theme for a Mario game. It felt kind of unfitting in the beginning, but there's also something that grew on me a tiny bit about it.
The jingle that plays at the beginning of each world. There's just something so rewarding
(?) about it. The beginning also reminds me of Super Paper Mario's music for some reason. - Super Mario Galaxy

The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth The soundtrack for a large, fan-made mod for "The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth" that's called "The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth". Besides just having tracks for the new floors and boss fights this mod adds, it also completely revamps most tracks from Rebirth to give the game a fresh coat of audial paint. I definitely prefer this soundtrack over Rebirth's soundtrack, but still find some tracks like "Marble Forest" odd for the places they play in (which is still quite neat, just not something I'd expect to play inside a Catacombs themed floor).
Favorite Tracks:
-
The Thief
(Cathedral) - It carries such a serious finality with it's instruments and slower pace that also fits the cathedral theming. Perfect for when you feel wronged/hurt and determined. -
Morphine
(Dark Room)
-
The Thief

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Collection This collection includes the soundtrack of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and every DLC as they have the same feel. In general, I don't like most of the music presented here, going so far as to use a mod that replaces most music with Antibirth music when playing the game. There are some neat melodies and iconic songs that I like though.
4.08. Carrion
( - While most of the tracks for the later stages are just ambient, this one actually has an identity to me because of the drums. The aggro layer later also just fits really well and is nice to witness ingame.Corpse )( Rebirth, Afterbirth, Afterbirth+ & Repentance) - The Escapists

Unusual Albums
Bo Burnham Collection A collection of songs from the artist Bo Burnham. My collection includes:
- The albums "Inside (The Songs)" & "Inside (Deluxe)"
- A select few of other tracks
Celeste (Community) This is a custom made collection of a few albums specifically made for some community-made mods for the game Celeste. It includes...
-
Celeste: Spring Collab 2020
(which I don't really listen to anymore) -
One track from Glyph
(School of the Flowers, a nice and calm track that has the same feel as the FEZ soundtrack) -
Two tracks from the mod Aftermath, specifically Walking on Saturn
(which I just love - that section beginning at 2:21 is just so good!! (although it gets it's power by the build up beforehand)) and Disposition(which I haven't really listened to at all) , both from Intikus

Cosmo Sheldrake Collection (The cool Flipnote animation) An artist I discovered through a cool Flipnote animation made by someone that's set to the track "The Moss". Im not really a man of interpreting stuff into abstract lyrics, so I just enjoy the melodies and harmonies. The ~15 tracks I listened to feel to be more on the experimental side.
Includes:
- The Moss
- The Much Much How How & I
Intikus Collection This collection consists of one video on Intikus' YouTube channel called the Outer Reach set. Most other stuff I have from him are sorted into my Celeste (Community) and Rain World (Community) collections. However, all of the stuff from these three collections can be found on Intikus' YouTube channel.
- I Wanna Maker Collection
Jackbox Banger Pack An exception to the collection naming rule simply because Banger Pack sounds funnier to me. A collection of tracks I like from all kinds of Jackbox games
Katamari Collection A collection of tracks I like from every Katamari Soundtrack. Mostly includes the first game
(Katamari Damacy) as it's the only one I've played so far, with a few tracks from other games sprinkled in. The music is quirky in general to reflect the quirky atmosphere of the games.Liked Tracks:
