A small collection of songs from older times. This collection started with a roblox game called "The Smiles Household" which features a cozy house that has a record player. One of the tracks it played was "The Very Thought of You" by Al Bowlly which then went on to catch my interest. I searched it up on YouTube, then saw what the recommendations threw at me and downloaded a few of the songs that catched my attention.
There are two things I noticed with my collection.
For one, most
The second thing was that some songs follow a structure of the first verse/playback being just an instrumental, while the lyrics/singer only kicks in once the instruments loop. This is for one neat for casually singing along to the tune since the instrumental is right baked into the released recording. Secondly, I theorize that people back in time - when everything was way more limited and you couldn't just find functionally every piece of music on the internet - could find more bang for their buck by singing their own melody/lyrics/backings to a preproduced song.
It also feels like some songs have many different names and artists listed, which is just ugh.
