Since Roblox gives a lot of tools to create games, some have gone the extra mile to polish their games up to an extreme, adding custom graphics, stories and music. This is a collection of soundtracks I like that were specifically made for games on Roblox.
Disc 1 - "Abyss World" by BoreDome (Game)
Abyss World is a platforming game in which you descend into a pit that's rumored to reach to the earth's core. The thing I really like about Abyss World is the world itself and the mood that's conveyed through both the pretty visuals that can go to hell
- 01.
Floating Windmills The part from 0:53 is really nice. In-Game, it's even nicer with the birds chirping. It makes me feel like I should take a break, look around the environment and take in a few fresh breaths before continuing onward.
- 02. Moss
- 03. Luring Abyss
- 04.
Engulfed in Depths This to me is the theme of the Mines.
- 05. Scavengers Dive
- 06. Gaps
- 07. Glare
- 08. Gills
- 08. Sinking
Disc 2 - "DOORS" by LSplash (Vol.2) (Game)
I really like Doors for just the visual polish and ambience that plays when actually playing the game. However, since I'm such a wuss, I always quit the game a few rooms in - I literally have to prepare myself mentally every time I would enter a room.
There was one run where I got a bit farther in
In short: I have only listened to "Dawn of the Doors"
Doors also has a few tracks that aren't publicly released, but still hosted by other people on
YouTube
- 1.01. Dawn of the Doors
- 1.02. Elevator Jam
- 1.03. Guiding Light
- 1.04. Unhinged
- 1.05. Here I come
- 2.01. Jeff's Jingle
- 2.02. Unhinged II
- 2.03. Elevator Jammed
- 2.04. Curious Light
- 2.05. Elevator Jam Remix
- 2.06. Trailer Theme Remix
Disc 3 - "Item Asylum" by AdenMayo (Game)
Since Item Asylum itself is a highly reference- and meme-filled game, most of the music stems from other media as well. I think the game previously used a lot of the music from other media directly until Roblox decided to wipe a lot of the copyrighted audio from their audio library, at which point Aden Mayo then made a lot of the remixes present here that would then be used instead of the audio directly. There are also a few original compositions in here.
I only listed the one's I like and actually have in my Music Library. There are a lot more songs than what's listed here.
- 3.1. Airpod Shotty
- 3.1. Airpod AA12
- 3.1. AWP
- 3.1. Baseplate
- 3.1. DEAR GOD ITS ALL MARIO
- 3.1.
Fire Force Plays when using the "Fire Force" item. A cover of the title theme of the anime "Fire Force".
I like the melody, but it's repetitive and looses it's potency quickly if you pay attention to it for too long.
- 3.1. Leave your message after the tone
- 3.1.
Omni Man (Emote) Plays while using the "Omni" emote. Cover of "Hot Milk" by Snail's House.
Something about the melody of "Hot Milk" is pretty and emotional to me.
- 3.1. POOL
- 3.1.
Rooftops (Original) Plays in "rooftops". Cover of an instrumental of "The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny" by LemonDemon.
I like the last few strums in the Refrain.
- 3.1. Sun Araw - Deep Cover Remix
- 3.1.
Twig Plays in "bowlingalley".
The one thing I love about this track is the short melody/part from 0:37-0:45. Especially the beginning of that with the sad sounding notes is nice and comforting to listen to. - 3.1.
virtual insanity (Original) Plays in "lobby_virtual_insanity".
- I like the vocal ranges Jamiroquai can reach in the original song, like with "Woah, it's a crazy world we're livin' in" at 0:43.
- I find the randomly moving chairs in the lobby as well as the music video funny.
- 3.1. White Space
- 3.2. A-Train
- 3.2. Casino
- 3.2. Chimney Canopy remix
- 3.2. Prelude
- 3.2. Robloxians Vs Dummies V1
- 3.2. Robloxians Vs Dummies V2
- 3.3. Gracie Grace
- 3.3. High Charity
- 3.3. PetScop
- 3.3. Poisonous Forest Remix
- 3.3. Stanley Parable
Disc 4 - "nico's nextbots" by nicopatty (Game)
The soundtrack for nico's nextbots sounds unique - it feels like I haven't heard a piano used in the prominent way it's used here before. It lends this game a unique flair alongside the general "Garry's Mod"-esque style.
Also note that the playlist I've linked to is the most complete one I found, but that there aren't any comments by nico or any other person on them since they're automatically disabled. nicopatty's channel has most tracks uploaded, and these have comments enabled.
- I really like the fact that most tracks loop at least good enough since I most often listen to songs looped.
- 1.01.
menu This version is sped up weirdly compared to the in-game Version. Since I started listening to the in-game Version first, this kind of sounds like a wrong version at first. Plus I think the slightly slower pace of the in-game Version fits better as a menu theme.
- 1.02. menu (in-game Version)
- 1.03.
safe room This version isn't sped up as it is with the menu music. It's just a clean version of the in-game Version with drums and maybe some other additions.
- 1.04.
safe room (in-game Version) It fits in-game and sounds nice.
- 1.05. club
- 1.06. club (in-game Version)
- 1.07. stepback (in-game Version)
- 1.08. dating start (in-game Version)
- 2.01. kensuke
- 2.02. menu (halloween Version)
- 2.03. menu (halloween & in-game version)
- 2.04. menu (holiday Version)
- 2.05. menu (holiday & in-game version)
- 2.06. cyberia (a-side)
- 2.07. cyberia (b-side)
- 2.08. cootie (moomart theme)
- 2.09.
8-twelve The music for a store in nn_russian with a reference to Bad Apple in it.
- 2.10.
zone A nice little jingle that plays along the little "now entering:" animation.
- 2.11.
zone (backrooms Version) One fun thing I managed to do the first time I played was somehow get into the secret 'nn_backrooms' map in the span of like 5 minutes after I first joined. I didn't like the game too much back then and quit quickly afterwards, but now I'm wondering how I managed to get there so easily.
- 2.12. blackout
- 2.13.
bloodmoon I have literally no idea what a bloodmoon does except maybe making the nextbots faster. It was a bit disappointing, with this event that I was excited to see suddenly appearing and then nothing much having changed in gameplay.I now know what a bloodmoon does, and it's exactly like I guessed
(they become speedy) . - 2.14. lights on
- 2.15.
shop I had to read a YouTube comment to notice that the one beeping noise is reminiscent of items being dragged across a scanner / self-checkout thing.
- 2.16. chase
- 2.17. POSSESSION
- 3.01. chill lobby
- 3.02. nextbob lobby
- 3.03. video game lobby
- 3.04. thoughtbody lobby
- 3.05. little big lobby
- 3.06.
asteries lobby For some reason this is just called asteries in the official release, but I'll call it asteries lobby to fit the scheme and because I just first encountered this name - 3.07. delta lobby
- 3.08. bee lobby
- 3.09. lucid lobby
- 3.10. pluggnb lobby
- 3.11. sherbet lobby
- 3.12. nostalgia lobby
- 3.13. wavgun
- 3.14. wavgun [bloodmoon version]
- 3.15. wavgun [birthday version]
- 3.16.
grand piano Unreleased as of time of writing (02.10.2023) - 3.17.
OUTBREAK Fits in-game quite well and gives the event quite the adrenaline rush, but not something I'd really listen to outside of the game. I also like the little jingle at the end.
The following tracklist is a collection of songs that are not part of an official album / not even released by nicopatty yet, but still present in-game.
- 9.01. menu (no drums)
-
9.02.
menu (no drums, in-game version) I made this track myself using Audacity by setting the speed of the no drums versions to 0,904
(170 / 188) . The numbers come from the BPM of the in-game version(170bpm) and non-in-game version(188bpm) .In case you're too lazy to do it
(& since I'm too lazy to organize a YouTube channel on where to upload these kinds of tracks) , someone uploaded a version that sounds the same except that it also includes static noises.(with static)
