A handy list of thoughts and question I find interesting. These could serve as new ideas for me to write as cards.
- What makes a good puzzle/mystery in a video game?
- When is a challenge in a video game fun or frustrating?
When should one be sad? Is there a reason to keep the feeling of sadness around? The soft expiry date of everything How things get old to us and we always need something different to get to that same high. Is there a point where one can have experienced everything and nothing's engaging anymore? The Base of Balance “How most, if not all in life, needs a balance between two extremes” The Feeling of Time How different timeframes feel different, like how 10 minutes to me feel shorter while 30 minutes feel longer than they actually seem to be How should I handle specific fears about stuff that rarely happens - Dog bites
- Someone breaking into my home while I'm still in here
- How much should one be afraid and prep themselves for it?
- General prep of reserve money and ability to take a break without one’s life falling apart
Supressing emotions - What exactly does that mean?
- Is it something viable?
- The contradiction of mom telling me that I should be allowed to cry, but also sometimes telling me to just bite the bullet and do something I don't want to do.
Dealing with emotions you don’t want to have - Envy (I fear reacting snappy out of instinct/emotion)
- Unwanted attraction towards people
- Annoyance and Anger
- How should I handle feelings & emotions?
- How do I memorize things? How can I improve my memory?
- Hopelessness and suicidality
- How should I handle the horribleness of the world? Is the world doomed?
What is love? - How can people stay in relationships for a long time? Wouldn’t there be no more topics to talk about after a while?
- Is love not just the feeling of love? Do the feelings come and go in waves, and the challenge is sticking through it when it's tough?
- Or does love need a solid baseline of an always good feeling when being around one another?
- Loosing the fear of death
Morbid impulses Why do I have them? How to best ignore them? - What are the things that will ruin your life if you don't do them regularly?
(Brushing teeth, good eating, good moving, sleep) - Posture
(What's the right way to sit, stand?) - Sports
(When should I stop exerting myself? Should sports hurt? How much so? Do I need running shoes?) - Multitasking in dancing.
(How do dancers learn how to perform multiple unintuitive actions at the same time? I can only focus on one movement at a time and fail when I try adding some movement on top. This inability to multitask is the same with some drumming patterns.) - Speedruns
(What makes them so alluring? Certain mindsets (like not resetting a run despite failing a bit). The one YouTube comment about how life back then was a no hit run similar to speedruns, where a few fails could mean the end. It's like a quest to turn into a machine that can perform frame-perfect inputs) - Basics for taking in advice
(A list of steps that would be good to do before listening to someone else's view in life. How to adapt advice for yourself.)
